Installation
Installation information
Install the signed IncidentForge 0.1.0 Linux release on Ubuntu 26.04 or launch the portable AppImage.
Ubuntu DEB
Download IncidentForge-0.1.0-ubuntu26.04-amd64.deb from the Downloads page. Verify its SHA-256, then install it with your system package installer or run: sudo apt install ./IncidentForge-0.1.0-ubuntu26.04-amd64.deb. Launch IncidentForge from the application menu.
Portable AppImage
Download IncidentForge-0.1.0-linux-x86_64.AppImage and verify its SHA-256. Make it executable with: chmod +x IncidentForge-0.1.0-linux-x86_64.AppImage. Then open the file or run it directly. The AppImage does not need a system-wide installation.
First launch
IncidentForge guides you through incident data storage, creation of a local administrator, license activation and optional Local AI. Local AI may be skipped; the manual evidence-to-report workflow remains available.
- Choose local data storage unless you already have a shared IncidentForge database
- Use the activation token supplied with your license
- Skip Local AI if you want to start without a model
Windows comes next
No Windows download is published. A native Windows build, installer and Windows acceptance run remain a separate release gate.
